‘24 Frames’ by late-great Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami will be screened in the 2017 Cannes Film Festival in France.

Abbas Kiarostami’s ’24 Frames’ will be screened at the festival's 70th Anniversary Events category along with three other films.

The film is a compilation projects he compeleted before his passing.

Abbas Kiarostami, who has died in July 2016, was an Iranian film director, whose ‘Taste of Cherry’ grabbed the Palme d’Or at the 1997 Cannes Film Festival.

Several prestigious festivals and film events have already honored the noted Iranian director as well as paying homage to Kiarostami by organizing retrospectives of his works.

He is mostly known as a screenwriter, film editor, art director and producer as well as a poet, photographer, painter, illustrator, and graphic designer.

The cinematic works by the internationally acclaimed filmmaker have been hailed by various festivals around the world.

The 70th edition of Cannes Film Festival will be held May 17 to 28, 2017 in Cannes, France.
